Summer Camp 2020 at Sundial

SUMMER CAMP 2020 AT Sundial

As of june 25th, summer camp 2020 has been canceled as a result of rising covid-19 cases in the state of florida.

If you’ve rolled your tuition over to Summer Camp 2021, we will reach out to confirm your registration and dates prior to registration in February 2021

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

With Sundial as our partner, we will hold 1 week of Island Skills Camp for kids and Counselors in Training. This means more ocean exploration and more fun!

This camp will be small and meaningful, with big ocean experiences. The beachfront location means even more time in the water. And of course, no Sanibel Sea School camp would be complete without island exploration, surfing, macramé, and new friendships.

At the end of each week families are invited to celebrate at our Milk & Cookies Slideshow, held at 3:30 PM on Fridays.

SANIBEL SKILLS CAMP AT Sundial (AGES 6-13)

$345/ week

July 27-31, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Smalltooth, Big Fish Week

Slicing and dicing through the water, smalltooth sawfish have a super long snout called a rostrum that makes them one of the most unmistakable fish in the sea. That rostrum is lined with sharp teeth making it look rather menacing and saw-like. Sawfish use this saw to delicately locate their prey then THRASH! With one swipe of the saw, their prey is stunned just like that. This week, we’re going to thrash around in the water with some sawfish marco-polo and nose our way into the mangroves to try to catch a glimpse of one of those saws. We’ll get toothy and make molds of our teeth and take a bite right into some shark anatomy. It’s going to be a smalltooth week with BIG fun.

CAMPS FOR TEENS At Sundial

Counselor in Training (CIT) Program (ages 13-17)

Offered weekly, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (CITs arrive at 7:30 AM on Monday)

$210/ week

Our CIT program is a leadership program for older campers to learn and practice the skills needed for their future employment. CITs are a vital link between our younger campers and the staff in our programs. Through theory and practice, we teach our CITs how to be leaders and positive role models to those around them. We assign duties and create and maintain performance expectations for these young leaders. We treat them with gentleness, love and respect, but show them how to carry out the responsibilities they are now capable of and how to use their abilities to become excellent role models. On any given day, it is hard to tell who is having more fun, the campers or the CITs.
