How it Works
Homeschool at Sea courses are offered seasonally from September through November. Two-hour courses are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 11 a.m. or 1 to 3 p.m. Each session is $40 per student.
Each week is a unique theme offered to three different age levels:
- 4 to 6
- 6 to 9
- 9 to 13
The day, time, and age ranges rotate weekly to accommodate various schedules.
These courses are designed to be drop-off programs. However, ONE parent/guardian per family is welcome to shadow. We also offer a family day, when all ages are welcome. On family day, at least one adult chaperone is required per family.
All attendees must register and pay. ONLY registered participants are allowed to attend (no younger or older non-registered siblings).
How to Register
Courses are released monthly on Active Network. Please use the link below to sign up. If you’d like to chaperone a drop-off program, please call us to register at 239-472-8585. Please call us if the program's cost prevents you from enrolling your child. We’re happy to work with you to ensure ocean education for all.
Homeschool at Sea courses will not be offered in November due to unexpected delays in our campus reopening. To continue learning with us, schedule a private session, group field trip, or join us at a beachwalk at Island Inn.
Our curriculum suits the homeschooling environment, allowing for a wide age range and family learning. Our program is led by marine scientists and educators passionate about the oceans, ensuring that your child receives accurate and up-to-date information throughout the course.
Prepare your child for an extraordinary educational adventure. Together, we'll unlock the secrets of the sea and foster a lifelong love for marine science and ocean conservation!
