Welcome to Homeschool at Sea, an immersive program by Sanibel Sea School that brings marine science to life for homeschoolers. The Homeschool at Sea program offers an experiential, hands-on approach to marine science. Similar to our regular day courses, homeschool sessions include field trips to Gulf beaches, mangrove forests, or SCCF’s preserves on Sanibel. Using marine biology as a platform, the curriculum covers topics such as symbiotic relationships, lunar cycles, and taxonomy, focusing on specific sea creatures or parts of the marine ecosystem. We will inspire a sense of environmental stewardship as we delve into the importance of protecting the oceans and the impact of human actions on marine habitats.
