Audrey Boren
Audrey was born and raised in Fort Myers. As a child growing up, her family spent every summer in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If they weren’t there, they were in Wisconsin spending time on Clark’s Lake or Lake Michigan. Audrey also spent many weekends locally on the beaches of Sanibel and Captiva, igniting her passion for the ocean.
After high school, she accepted a full- ride scholarship to play volleyball at St. Petersburg Community College in St. Pete, Florida. After two years, she returned to Fort Myers and worked in the boating industry before becoming a kayak tour guide on Captiva Island, where her love for education began. Audrey loved guiding tours for people who came eager to learn about our environment and wildlife and watching them leave with new knowledge and purpose.
She will soon complete a BS in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Environmental Education and a minor in Climate Change from Florida Gulf Coast University. Audrey is honored to be part of the SCCF and Sanibel Sea School team and looks forward to making a difference and spreading her love for the ocean for many years to come.
