A Chance to SEA with CECI

Sanibel Sea School recently started our first class at the Children Education Center of the Islands (CECI) this month. This week, students learned all about shells and even got to meet a few periwinkle snails that made a special appearance before they were returned to the wild later that day.
Marine Science Educators will visit CECI on a monthly basis, bringing the ocean to the classroom with new and exciting activities. Through these interactive and hands on lessons, students will learn about the importance of our ecosystems and ways to protect our oceans and the creatures that call it home.
This partnership is made possible through Sea School’s A Chance to Sea program. The program’s mission is to connect the deserving children of Southwest Florida to our region’s natural environment. We will learn, grow, and succeed with students while discovering the ocean’s magic. Learn more and support A Chance to Sea using the link below.
