Sanibel Sea School Welcomes New Trustee
Sanibel Sea School is pleased to welcome Scott Fischer to the nonprofit organization’s Board of Trustees.
Fischer’s love for the ocean began at age 16, when he started scuba diving in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. During his undergraduate program at Georgia, he worked as an assistant instructor and accompanied countless groups of students on their first open water dives in the ocean.
Like so many others in our community, his life in southwest Florida began with a quick, unplanned stop in Ft. Myers. Now a full-time resident, he lives here with his wife, Jennifer, and 12 year old daughter, Michaela. Fischer is the founder and managing partner of SRI, a full-service advertising agency based in Ft. Myers. His other interests include traveling, boating, and just about anything outdoors.
“Overcoming a fear of the unknown was always the biggest challenge for my dive students, which is one of the many reasons I have so much respect for the work Sanibel Sea School has done for so many years,” said Fischer. “I am honored to have the chance to support this world class program.”
Sanibel Sea School is a 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to improve the ocean’s future, one person at a time. To learn more, visit sanibelseaschool.org.
